Make time to investigate how skin color and income are related to each other or what the accessibility of public facilities is for people with different skin colors. Or perhaps you have heard about the study by the Social Cultural Planning Office ‘Rejected by origin’, about the Hague job market. Where are you in this picture? How does inequality affect you? Start by understanding the difficulties of different groups and addressing them where you can. Nobody wants to be racist, but because our culture is still permeated with many prejudices, we cannot actually escape those prejudices if we do not actively work to deal with them consciously.
